Residential VOIP phones
The concept of residential VOIP has been developed in 2004 in which users can make and receive calls as they are using in traditional land line phones. VOIP means voice over internet protocol.
Normally VOIP services provided for residences are either free or with nominal charges compared to traditional landline phone charges. Calls made from VOIP to any other VOIP are totally free no matter if the service providers are different. Calls made to PSTN cost only rental charges. This service takes a wide range that can be similar to traditional landline telephones. If you want to use VOIP at your place then you have to change your entire wire line of landline as wiring for VOIP is totally different thing it cant go with landline wiring.

Millions of homes are connected through internet to DSL that require traditional landline phones. You have to pay for residential VOIP and basic landline phone, this stuff has make people don’t migrate to this technology. However some providers are trying to provide only DSL line without telephone, which may give rise to home users of VOIP. VOIP can also be used along with cable instead of DSL which don’t need telephone.
In past, people have experience with home based VOIP like below quality, IP packets lost data, delay at any point of time, drop of voice. However now the technology has been improved where you wont find these type of complaints. And still providers are trying to make it better and the best.
